Mugabe in Fresh Attack on UK

President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has launched a fresh attack on the British government, accusing it of spreading homosexual values around the world.

Promising that Africa in general, and Zimbabwe in particular, would combat it, the 76-year-old former guerrilla was speaking at a gathering of tribal chiefs last week and stated: "The British government is seeking to promote homosexuality.”

He went on to say: "We as chiefs should fight against such western practices and respect our culture. British homosexuals are worse than dogs and pigs because [they] do not differentiate between males and females."

Mugabe claimed last year that Blair was using "gay gangsters" against him after an attempted citizen’s arrest for human rights’ abuses by Peter Tatchell of activist group OutRage!.

Although Tony Blair has previously labelled Mugabe as “eccentric,” the British government has admitted that it is concerned for the safety of whites remaining in Zimbabwe.

The latest outburst against Tony Blair`s administration comes in the run-up to the Zimbabwe elections next month, a vote that Mugabe is expected to lose.
